The largest room in the centre is the main hall, which is larger than a badminton court and is currently used for this purpose each Wednesday evening. The hall is regularly used for a wide range of activities such as keep fit, dance, judo, table tennis and orchestra practice. There is now a large electrically operated projector screen to enable conferences, meetings presentations and Family Cinema Events run by the centre. There are a large number of chairs and tables available making it an ideal venue for birthday parties, discos and live music. As with all rooms in the centre, the hall benefits from air-conditioning.

The hall may be hired by itself, with the Jubilee Lounge, the Linton Room or with the whole centre.

We have just completed a replacement of some artwork in the hall, the lovely new photographs were kindly provided by Martin Ventris-Field who also took many of the photographs for the new web site. The large tapestry is one of a set, the others are in the Maldon Town Hall.
